Introduction to Improvement Science is a fun and engaging introduction to the fundamentals of process improvement tools and methodologies. Using a case study and everyday experiences, participants learn how to systematically identify improvement opportunities and test changes to eliminate defects, reduce variation,
and ensure sustainability.

Designated Infection Control Officer Class
Pre-Conference Class: May 20, 2024
The DICO class creates an understanding of the laws, regulations, and responsibilities DICOs will need to master in order to serve their agency and personnel. The course includes instruction on the contagious disease process, how to develop an Exposure Control Plan, and management of an exposure to personnel. The final hour will include small group practical applications on how to respond to real exposures.

Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Instructor Course
Pre-Conference Class: May 20, 2024

The Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Instructor Course is an 8-hour live lecture and hands-on course that is intended to certify instructors to teach the Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Provider Course at their department and earn credit. The course uses the basic tenets of ACLS training as the foundation, while still covering the basic pediatric ALS principles and nuances. The course focuses on the skills needed to rapidly and accurately treat sick and injured pediatric patients.
*Registration for this session is separate from other CFED sessions. Price includes breakfast and lunch.
